Jr. Naturalist After-school Program - March 2019 Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., month-long sessions for ages 6-11 Inquiry-based, hands-on learning in a safe outdoor environment. DRA Great Salt Bay Farm is on bus routes from local schools and close to Route 1. March - Forest Foray: Tap maple trees and try sap, explore the forests at Great Salt Bay Farm, and create art projects. Fee: $55/$50 members at Mussel level or above (scholarships available). We invite all current, past, or prospective DRA-PWA volunteers to join us for volunteer fair on April 3! Our volunteers are what make our work possible. We couldn't do nearly as much as we do in land conservation, water quality monitoring, and education without the many passionate people who give their time. We'll have a quick slideshow presentation on the many volunteer opportunities available, followed by a chance to talk to current volunteers and staff about the ones that interest you most. April Vacation Camp - Wetland Detectives April 15-19, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM For children ages 6-11. Go marsh mucking for invertebrates, make a toad house, and play nature games. Explore forests and fields, create art projects, keep a nature journal, and more. Participants will need to bring snacks, lunch, and warm outdoor gear. Frogs and Pollywogs For preschoolers (ages 2-5) and their parents/guardians. A hike is always included. April 18 - Marsh Critters: Visit the freshwater marsh with nets to see what tiny creatures can be found.
