Hands-On Nature for Young Children
Once a month hands-on nature programs September through June for preschool children and a caregiver. Includes song or story, hike and often a craft. These classes are held 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. the third Friday of each month. Prepay for five classes and get a sixth class free. Fee: $3.00/child. Call DRA to register.
September 15 – Insect Safari Learn all about insects and go for an insect walk with nets.
October 20 – Whoo? It’s an Owl! See an owl specimen, search for owls and play an owl game.
November 17 – Big Birds, Little Birds Search for turkeys and other birds with a naturalist.
December 15 – Marshes in Winter Visit the freshwater marsh to find muskrat houses and more!
