Jr. Naturalist After-school Program - November 2018 Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., month-long sessions for ages 6-11 Inquiry-based, hands-on learning in a safe outdoor environment. DRA Great Salt Bay Farm is on bus routes from local schools and close to Route 1. November - Birds: Discover how birds prepare for winter, dissect owl pellets, and play nature games. Frogs and Pollywogs For preschoolers (ages 2-5) and their parents/guardians. A hike is always included. Fall Schedule: September 20 - Bees and Butterflies Search for bees and butterflies and take home bee food (a flowering plant). October 18 - Spider safari Turn over logs and rocks and see how many spiders we can find! November 15 - Turkey Tails and Tales Search for turkeys and other birds and do an art projcet. A regular program for homeschool families and groups. These classes are held 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon the fourth Monday of each month (except October and December). A hike and nature journaling are always included. Prepay for five classes and get a sixth class free. For ages 5 and up (younger may come). Fee: $5.00/child.  Call DRA to register.
