UPDATE: WINTER FEST POSTPONED DUE TO NON-WINTERY WEATHER! Now taking place on February 17. Come celebrate the best of winter at the 5th annual Winter Fest! Bring the family for an afternoon of sledding, skating, an animal tracks craft, a sled dog demonstration, free hot dogs and hot cocoa, and a campfire with marshmallows for roasting. The warming hut will be open, and there are skates of all sizes available to borrow. Sunday February 17, 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Round Top Farm (3 Round Top Lane, Damariscotta). Co-hosted by DRA-PWA and Great Salt Bay Community School PTO.

February Vacation Camp - Winter Wonderland February 19-22, 8:30 a.m.– 3:30 p.m. For children ages 6-11. Go dogsledding, build a quinzhee (winter shelter), and track animals. Learn all about Maine’s wildlife in winter, explore forests and fields, go sledding, create art projects and do some nature journaling. Participants will need to bring snacks, lunch, and warm outdoor gear. Pre-registration is due one week before the session starts, although earlier registration is recommended as these sessions tend to fill up quickly. Fee: $180, or $160 for members at the Mussel level or above. A regular program for homeschool families and groups. These classes are held 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon the fourth Monday of each month. A hike and nature journaling are always included. Frogs and Pollywogs For preschoolers (ages 2-5) and their parents/guardians. A hike is always included. March 21 - Under the Log: What creepy crawlies can we find in the forest? Under the log?
