Coastal Rivers’ nature-adventure summer day camp at Salt Bay Farm

Here at Camp Mummichog, nature education comes in many forms: hands-on exploration, physical activity, art, music, writing, games, field trips, and more.

Join us as we explore forests, marshes and fields, and unravel some of nature’s many mysteries!

Offered from early July through mid-August, camp sessions are either three or five days long. Each week focuses on a different theme and is geared toward a specific age group. There is also a Counselor-in-Training program for youth ages 12 and over.

Scholarships are available and can be requested during the registration process.

Together we’ll investigate the amazing world of animal senses, and learn more about our own, through immersive activities and experiments. We’ll look for patterns in nature, learn how to find wild edible plants, and visit Plummer Point Preserve (parents will need to drop off and pick up campers in South Bristol). Tuition: $150, or $120 for members.
  • Insect Palooza (August 12-16, 9:00-3:00) – For ages 6 to 9. You’ll be amazed what we discover when we enter into the world of insects! Learn about some weird and fascinating insect adaptations, and meet an entomologist. Tuition: $300, or $270 for members.

How to Register

When you’re ready to register your camper, get started using the button below!

What you’ll need:

  1. Your username and password: If you already have a user account with ActiveNet, just sign right in. If the system is new to you, you will need to set up a new user profile (be sure to keep track of your username and password – you’ll need them later!)
  2. Basic info: You will be asked to provide your contact information and your child’s basic information.
  3. Payment: You may either pay in full right when you register, or select a payment plan option. Full and partial scholarships are also available – to apply for either one, just follow the instructions during registration!
  4. Health information: Eventually, you will need to fill out a health profile for your camper, including basic health information, immunization records, a copy of your camper’s insurance card, and three local emergency contacts. Give the Gift of Camp Mummichog

We now offer gift certificates to Camp Mummichog which can be used this summer or any future season!

How it works: Purchase one or more gift certificates for a session at camp. Gift certificates do not expire and can be used for any session of camp, depending on the child’s age eligibility. Please note that once registration opens, it is first-come, first-served, so a gift certificate will not guarantee a child’s place in any given session.

To use a gift certificate, we recommend you subscribe to Coastal Rivers emails so you will hear first when camp registration opens and have the best selection of sessions. Your gift certificate comes with a discount code that you can apply during the registration process.
